While a date night in Milwaukee is always a good idea, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and an extra good excuse to put on a nice outfit, grab your significant other or gal pals and enjoy a night on the town! Here are a few of my favorite spots for a date night in Milwaukee.
1. Bowling at Landmark Lanes
Going bowling is an old classic when it comes to date nights, and Landmark Lanes is one of Milwaukee’s oldest lanes. This is sure to be a fun time this Valentine’s Day!
2. Golfing at Luxe Golf Bays
Do you both love to golf? Maybe one or both of you is still learning, or maybe you’ve just got the itch and the courses are still snow-covered. Luxe Golf Bays in Franklin is open year-round and reservations can be made for up to 6 people. Enjoy a triple date or just a night out with friends!
3. Wander the Milwaukee Art Museum
If you’ve never been, there’s no better time than with the one you love on Valentine’s Day! This iconic downtown spot is home to one of the largest collections by Wisconsin’s own Georgia O’Keeffe, and pieces by Andy Worhol and Pablo Picasso.
4. Tour the many breweries
Milwaukee is known for its many breweries. Treat your significant others or your group of friends to a brewery tour around the city and learn some of Milwaukee’s history while tasting the local brews!
5. Couple’s dance class at Arthur Murray Dance Center
If you have two left feet and could use some lessons, or you just need an excuse to go out dancing, take your significant other to the Arthur Murray Dance Center in Whitefish Bay for a couples dance class and a memorable date night!
6. Enjoy views & drinks from Blu Bar & Lounge
Sitting on the 23rd floor of the Pfister Hotel, Blu Bar & Lounge offers panoramic views of beautiful Milwaukee. Try a cocktail during happy hour and soak in the vistas!
7. Go axe throwing at AXE MKE
Axe throwing has risen in popularity in recent years, and for good reason! It’s a fun and unique way to enjoy a couple of drinks and a night out while doing something active and challenging!
8. Take in a movie at Avalon Atmospheric Theater
This historic Bay View theater offers a star-studded atmospheric ceiling, a delicious menu and drinks at the Avalounge, and really rivals your standard Netflix night!
9. Eat dinner in a Lux Dome at Café Benelux
A rooftop? In February? Café Benelux in downtown Milwaukee offers enchanting heated domes to enjoy outdoor dining in the middle of winter…a truly unique dinner out for your loved one!
10. Make your way to the Shanghai Speakeasy
This isn’t your standard “getting drinks” experience! Make your way to this hidden gem through Black Cat Alley on Milwaukee’s east side. Find the place covered in murals by local artists and ring the buzzer to get inside. You’ll find delicious seasonal cocktails and drinks and a one-of-a-kind night out!
